1960s Breitling Cosmonaute With All Accessories The Other Space Watch & The Anti-Speedmaster

Anti-Speedmaster If you’re looking for a mid-60’s chronograph with a great movement and unrivaled provenance, you can’t do much better than a Caliber 321 Omega Speedmaster. But, just like there are different sides to every argument (Rolex vs. Panerai, BMW vs. Audi, Jim Carey vs. Elin Woods) there are some that prefer http://www.speedroc.com/replica-breitling-montbrillant-01.html over Omega. If that is the case, we’ve found a great vintage Cosmonuate for you. For those that don’t know, the Cosmonuate is the 24-hour version of the famous Navitimer, and was the first watch worn into space by an American. This particular example looks to be almost NOS, with all original boxes, certificates, books and even the hang tag. It is powered by the Valjoux 7736 movement and dates back to 1967, which makes it the true rival of the actual Moon Watch Speedmaster. The seller for this classic replica breitling Bentley 6.75 is asking around $3000 for the set. Not bad if you ask us. Coming up in next week’s Antiquorum sale is the replica breitling Superocean Chronograph II you see to the right. It’s not a Navitimer or anything of historical importance, but it is a killer-looking vintage chronograph from 1970 that is going to go cheap; thus its appearance on the almighty ‘Dink. You really could not ask for a better beginner’s vintage watch. Its got a great, well known name on the dial, a solid chronograph movement, a unique “cushion” case (of which Breitling no longer produces) and last but not least, the estimate for this watch is only $1000-$2000. On top of that, there is NO reserve, meaning if people don’t bid on this for some reason, it could sell for a few hundred dollars. Tough to argue with that. The white on black dial, the colorful registers and second hand, and the unique case of this Breitling all make for a fantastic watch, one sure to catch peoples attention. To us, it looks a lot like one of our favorite vintage chronographs, the Heuer Camaro.
